PRESS + INTERVIEWS

President Donald Trump has made it clear he’s siding with Vladimir Putin in the war in Ukraine, thereby endorsing the Kremlin leader’s sustained targeting of defenseless civilians in his campaign of annihilation.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights puts the number of Ukrainian civilian casualties – dead and injured – at more than 40,000 since Russia launched its full-scale invasion three years ago this Monday.

What PEOPLE Are Saying

It was incredibly powerful, heart-wrenching, and deeply inspiring. I cried, I laughed, and was just in awe of the resilience and strength of these brave children caught in conflict.”

— Lobna

We’re still processing the film, and it is a remarkable achievement.  Evgeny is a master filmmaker.  The use of animation, the diary, the storytelling of mothers/children innocently going about their lives – running downstairs, going to the hospital, waiting at a train station, to then be randomly decimated by that evil man – it is so personal.  And the music!”

— Susan

“Stunning. Really staying with me. I know it will forever.”

— Billy

“..I was blown away!!! I think it's his best film to date! it's so heartbreaking and so emotional. I could barely move when the film ended💔 I thought the animation portion was genius and very clever. The music was spectacular also and those children's story tore my heart out.”

— Joanne

I’ve never seen a war documentary told quite like this. The documentary focuses on the stories that didn’t make the headlines. Seen through the eyes of children, it offers an intimate and deeply personal look at what it was like to experience the invasion of the only home they’ve ever known.
